Lent/Easter 2014

Dear Friends,

May the peace of Christ be with you. As we move through the season of Lent the lessons provide us with many themes to think about. One of those has been worship: worship of God; worship in spirit and in truth; worship morning, noon and night wherever you find yourself. It is in worship that Jesus can be found with healing words, both physical and spiritual.

The woman of Samaria finds healing, changes direction and rejoices at her new life. A blind man is healed and his life is made whole. Lazarus, a friend of Jesus, has died but the holy and healing touch of Jesus raises him to new life. This, of course, is to show the mighty works of God for one day Lazarus will die again.

The eternal Good News is that the God who created us loves us and abides with us always - from Baptism until death and beyond. Even in the saddest of times we can say God is good. We can find this God whenever we pause to worship Him. Glory and praise be to our God forever and ever. Amen.

Come let us worship the Lord!

A Blessed Easter to you and yours,

Peggy
